Share a Snack

We occasionally post lighthearted, humorous, or heart-lifting things. If you have one of these “snacks,” please send it our way.

If you’re providing a personal anecdote, we encourage original audio, but it is not required. Below, we’ve included helpful instructions for submitting audio files.

How To Make & Send a Recording

Step 1: Record Your Message

Use your phone’s built-in voice memo or recording app. (iPhone users can use Voice Memos; Android users can try Voice Recorder or Samsung Voice Recorder.)

Tips for a good recording:

  • Find a quiet place. Avoid wind, background chatter, barking dogs, or laundry machines on spin cycle.

  • Hold the phone 6–8 inches from your mouth. Too close and you’ll sound like a horror movie villain. Too far and you’ll sound like you’re calling from the moon.

  • Speak clearly and naturally. Don’t worry about being perfect—we're real people here. And if it needs a little touch-up, we can do that, too.

  • Keep it under 60 seconds, if possible. Short and sweet is good.

Step 2: Attach the File To the Form

If it’s easier, open this page on your phone’s browser. Find the file you recorded and attach it using the “Add A File” section in the form above.

Another Option: Voicemail

We usually get much clearer audio from a memo recording, but if you’re having trouble doing that and you’d like to submit a question, leave a message on Tim Tedder’s business voicemail: ‪(317) 324-8843‬.

Leave your question on the voicemail and be sure to include:

  • Your first name (or say you'd like to remain anonymous)

  • A sentence like: “You have my permission to use this recording in your resources.”
